Our customer Micheal came with his epiphone acoustic guitar that he bought from another shop
and complained to us that the string height of the guitar is too high despite after setup by the shop.

After our inspection, We found out they tried to lower the string height by over straightening the truss rod
and this could be very dangerous as it might cause a permenant damage to the neck and it is not the correct way to do a guitar setup.

After deeper inspection, we knew that even after the setup, the string height at the first 3 frets will be still high and uncomfortable to play as the nut was not slotted to the correct height. Therefore we suggested to perform slotting of nut as well.

Right below are the pictures after our professional setup.

After our precise nut slotting, we lowered the string height at the first 3 frets for easy playing of open chords.

Frets were polished and fingerboard were treated.
Neck were set to correct relief and saddles were filed to optimum setting.

This is the only head version of the Sound Drive amps in the market the rest being the combo makes.
I’m hooked on this amp the day I tried it at the dealer’s as it has one of the best on board drive,
which is very tube-like but I’m not one to revere the tube tone excessively- a good tone is a good tone,
regardless if there are any tubes in there. When I play this amp, it’s definitely a straight through plug-in,
nothing should get in the way of tone this good.
